In the Level 1 Fii Freediver Certification Course, we go over in detail why certain equipment works better for FreeDiving as opposed to SCUBA diving. Don't get me wrong; your SCUBA mask and fins will do just fine! But, while it is not a requirement for the Level 1 course, you will quickly understand why having the appropriate FreeDiving equipment will make all the difference in the world. Even though FreeDiving requires minimal equipment; all the more reason why you want to be super diligent about getting gear that is functional, and what feels right for you.
