The Groovy Mermaid hooks up with Minino's Tours to take a swim with the biggest shark in the world! The whale shark season in the Riviera Maya near Isla Mujeres, Mexico goes from July to September. During this time, you can see hundreds of whale sharks congregating to feed on plankton. It's amazing to think a creature this size survives on a diet of microorganisms, and what an incredible experience to swim alongside them!
